This morning, I added a “Reply to Jonnie” link at the end of RSS feed posts. It’s an idea I’ve had since asking folks if I should email my posts. I included a mailto link at the end of that post, which made it really easy for folks to respond—and they did! I wish existing RSS readers would build a reply button into their apps, since the feed does include my email in the <author> metadata, but in the meantime, I think this works well. For convenience, I might consider adding it to posts on the web, too, to encourage folks to reach out when they have something to say about a post. I’m always eager to hear.
