  467. <p>En regardant cette photo, je pense à nos innombrables discussions sur ce blog et ailleurs à propos des livres numériques et du web, de ce qu’est un livre numérique et de ce qu’il n’est pas, je pense à «  Books in Browsers  », je pense à l’attachement inconditionnel que j’ai pour le web et toutes les aventures qu’il contient, je pense aux livres, à ceux qui les écrivent, les éditent, les fabriquent,  les défendent, les vendent, les lisent.</p>

  469. <p>Bill McCoy dirige l’IDPF et préside la Fondation Readium. Il travaille sur ce projet de fusion avec le W3C depuis des mois. Projet qui ne va pas sans provoquer quelques inquiétudes chez certains, bien sûr. Fusionner, cela signifie que l’IDPF va disparaître, pour devenir un groupe de travail du W3C, dédié au format EPUB, et que celui-ci ne sera plus uniquement le format des livres numériques mais le format de tous les documents numériques que l’on souhaitera encapsuler pour qu’ils puissent notamment être lus hors ligne. Toutes les modalités de cette fusion ne sont pas encore fixées, Bill a annoncé que le processus serait transparent, et prévu une discussion ouverte pendant la réunion de l’IDPF prévue demain.</p>
